Thanks to several convincing performances and four hard-fought victories, Holger Rune deservedly earned one of the two places in the final of the ATP 250 in Sofia. The Dane managed to surprise the Italian Jannik Sinner in the semifinals, who withdrew one game from defeat due to a disastrous fall.
The young player showed a very good level of tennis and in all probability would have obtained the pass for the final act of the tournament even without the unfortunate injury of the Italian.
