Genie Bouchard: what amazing pics with a mysterious friend!

Eugenie Bouchard played her last official match on March 17, 2021 in Monterrey, where she lost to Zhu Lin in two sets. More than a year after her defeat in Mexico, the Canadian will finally return to the court at the WTA 125 in Vancouver and will face Dutch Arianne Hartono on her first match.

A few days before reaching the tournament venue that will be preparing to welcome her back on a tennis court, Bouchard was spotted on the beaches of Miami Beach with a screaming outift with a guy. According to the British tabloid The Sun, the player ate sushi in a well-known bar before taking a taxi in the company of the secret boy.

Bouchard’s real goal was to present herself in the best possible condition at Wimbledon, but she decided to forgo her favorite tournament for the choice not to award points from the WTA and the ATP. “I chose not to play Wimbledon following the WTA’s decision not to award points.

Due to my shoulder injury, I currently do not have the necessary ranking to enter tournaments and I have a limited number of entries with the ranking protected. For this reason, although I love Wimbledon, it makes no sense to use the protected leaderboard to play a tournament that does not award points.

I will use it at the US Open and the Australian Open.”

Genie, from Wimbledon 2014 to date

Genieseemed to have all the credentials to become the new world number one of the WTA Tour. Impossible to forget and cancel the fantastic season that allowed her to become one of the protagonists of the major circuit in 2014.

At just 20 years old, the Canadian tennis player reached the semifinals at the Australian Open and the Roland Garros, and the final at Wimbledon. Petra Kvitova, who won the final act of the Championships with a clear 6-3, 6-0, stopped his rise on the lawns of the All England Club.

After the final played in Wimbledon, Bouchard failed to meet her expectations and, also due to some important injuries, she left the tennis elite. Below you can watch Genie’s last Instagram pics:
